Evelyn M. Bernholt
Evelyn M. Bernholt, age 89, of Versailles passed away at 11:54 P.M. on
Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Versailles Health Care Center. Evelyn was born
July 17, 1926 in North Star to the late Joseph F. & Bernadine A.
(Rutschilling) Bernholt.
Evelyn is survived by her sisters, Jean Grilliot of Versailles and
Betty Jutte of Versailles; brother & sister-in-law, Lester &
Lavon Bernholt of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her
sister, Bertha Beyke; brother, Melvin Bernholt in infancy;
brothers-in-law, Norbert Beyke, Herbert Grilliot and Luke Jutte; and
nephew, Tom Beyke.
Evelyn retired from Fram in Greenville with 28 years of service. Evelyn
was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. She loved
gardening, flowers, photography and sewing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 9,
2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown with Rev. Fr. Ron
Haft celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in
Versailles. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00
P.M. and Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar
Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Versailles Emergency Medical Services.
