Sister Merlene Vanessa Scott
On Sunday, May 22, 2016, Sister Merlene Vanessa Scott, assisted by the
angels at 12:56 a.m., put off the robe of pain and suffering and
is now clothed in a garment set ablaze with peace, joy, glory and
everlasting contentment. She left us, but left no doubts
concerning who she was – a Mother in Israel; no doubts as to what she
believed – the Gospel of Jesus Christ; no doubts as to where the truth
lies – the saints in light, the church of the living God. Rest
assured, her mark has been left on this world. A deaconess who loved
the children and young people with all of her soul, she lived a
life that did not tolerate sin, a life that honored her husband,
demanded order from her children and gave all the glory to the God of
her salvation. She was wed to her husband, Paul Scott Jr. on
January 19, 1990. Along with her fellow laborer and Mother in
Israel, Sister Lucretia Hargrave, Sister Merlene was there in the
assisting of many children into this world.
Sister Merlene leaves behind a faithful husband and fellow laborer,

and David Rabel, Michael Paul and Rebecca Ann, Mikka Renee and Jonny
