Anna "Gertie" Leis
Anna "Gertie" Leis, age 100, of Ansonia, OH, passed away, Saturday,
October 29, 2016 at Village Green Healthcare Center in Greenville,
OH.
She was born Sunday, April 23, 1916 in Pulaski, KY, a daughter of the
late Frank and Maude (Cundiff) Campbell.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband,
Ernest Leis whom she married May 27, 1936; five brothers, Sam, Jake,
Richard, Gene and Neal Campbell; five sisters, Edna Lenker, Daisy
Subler, Aileen Mason, Betty Brown and Pauline Zechar.
Gertie was a member of the First Church of God Ansonia where she taught
Sunday School. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Anna is survived by her children, Jim (Janet) Leis of Rossburg, OH,
Janet Rowland (Gale Long) of New Paris, OH, grandchildren, Aliana
(Bryan) Clymer of Greenville, OH, Cindy (Steve) Shoop of Greenville,
OH, Scott (Andrea) Rowland of Ansonia, OH; great grand Child, Holly
(Chad) Garrison of Columbus, OH, Brianne (Craig) Galloway of Columbus,
OH, Justin (Shelby) Rowland of Rossburg, OH, Cody Rowland of Ansonia,
OH, Alexa Rowland of Columbus, OH, Andrew Rowland, of Ansonia, OH; a
great great granddaughter, Stella Garrison of Columbus, OH; and a
sister, Ruth "Ellie" Bowman, Greenville, OH.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at
Greenville Township Memorial Gardens in with Rev. Steve Shoop
officiating.
