Waldo Joseph Royer
Waldo Joseph Royer, 93, of New Madison, OH, passed away, Sunday,
October 16, 2016 at Heartland Of Greenville.
Waldo was born Monday, September 10, 1923 in New Madison, OH, a son of
the late Earl and Mary (Rhoades) Royer.
In addition to his parents, Waldo was preceded in death by his brothers,
Melvin Royer and Rolland Eugene Royer, and sister, Donna Rife.
Waldo served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a 1941
graduate of New Madison High School. Waldo was employed at Flaig
Lumber for ten years and had worked at the grain elevators in New
Madison and Eldorado. Waldo enjoyed playing softball, horseshoes,
and spending time at the Back in Time cafe. Most of all loved spending
time with his family.
Waldo is survived by his wife, Patricia (Wilt)Royer of New Madison,
son, Michael D. and Tricia Royer of Connersville, IN; daughters, Debbie
and Jeff Gutheil of West Carrollton, OH and Sharon and Brian Anderson
of New Madison; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great
grandchild.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family
with Pastor Joe Royer and Pastor Carol Duffield
officiating. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Madison First United
Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association.
