Mrs. Jeanne M. Witwer
Mrs. Jeanne M. Witwer, 89 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Monday
April 3, 2017 at 5:10 PM at the Brethren Retirement Community.
She was born October 15, 1927 in Bethlehem, Pa., the daughter of the
late Elmer & Anne (Roach) Ruth. She retired in 1987 as a
Clerk at PMI of Troy, Ohio.
She was a member of the Oakland Church of the Brethren, The V.F.W.
Ladies Auxiliary of Greenville, The Retiree Friendship Club of Troy,
The Treaty City Shuffleboard Club, The Hobart Retirees Club of Troy,
and the Leisure Acre Park Club of Sebring, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Leo G.
Witwer on March 31, 2016 whom she married April 12, 1947;
brothers: Joseph Ruth, Edward; sister: Ruth; Mary Kozul.
She is survived by her children: Michael L (Charlotte) Witwer of
Huntsville, Ohio, Georgina (Jim) Shahan of Englewood, & Brian L.
(Tammy) Witwer of Tipp City; grandchildren: Andy (Katrina) Shahan, Jeff
(Andrea) Witwer, Mollie Trupp, Sherry (Brian) Goss, Matthew Witwer,
Michael Witwer, & Megan Witwer; great grandchildren: Kassie,
Addison, Teddy, Wyatt, Landon, Waylon, Eve, Lily, & Henry;
sister: Rose Sabota of Bethlehem, Pa.; & numerous nieces
& nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Zechar
Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Paula Ulrich
officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren
Retirement Community or State of the Heart Care.
