Alice "Faye" Schlecty
Alice "Faye" Schlecty, 66, of Rossburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday,
August 9, 2017 at State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville.
She was born on January 10, 1951 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Donald
and Mary (Boyd) Warner.
Faye was an incredibly talented and creative person. She would gather
materials and make wreaths and other craft items that were special and
useful. She worked at the Calico Loft on Sweitzer Street and eventually
bought it. She moved her store to Ansonia and began offering cut
flowers alongside her many other creations. She was always involved in
different community causes and would stand in defense of her beliefs.
Faye was always available to help her children and the school. She
would make Christmas ornaments and sell them to help raise money for
the school. To this day, there are numerous people who still hang her
ornaments on their Christmas trees during the Holidays. She was a very
dedicated and active member of the Rossburg United Methodist Church.
She volunteered for the summer bible school programs and decorated the
church for various Holidays. She loved to sing in the choir and did so
as long has she could. Faye volunteered at the Pregnancy Help Center
and crocheted and donated countless baby blankets and quilts.
Faye loved her family and enjoyed listening to Norb and Jeff play
music. She loved all types of music ranging from old rock and roll,
bluegrass and gospel. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother and was a
pillar for her family. She was proud of her children and grandchildren.
Faye was adored and respected by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Faye is survived by her husband, of 48 years, Norbert D. Schlecty, whom
she married on December 21, 1968; a son, Jeffrey and Tonya Schlecty of
New Weston, and a daughter, Laura Lovetto of Springville, Alabama;

Cincinnati, Paul Schlecty of New Weston, and Madison Lovetto of
