Cassity
Della Marie (Collins) Cassity, 93, of New Madison, passed away
peacefully Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the State of the Heart Care
Center.
Della was born on September 7, 1923 in Blairs Mills, Kentucky, to the
late Walter and Dora (Lykins) Collins.
In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by her husband,
Ivis Cassity; her brother, Clayton Collins; and her sister, Marlene
Clevenger.
Della was a member of the American Legion, Universalist Church and
Friends of the New Madison Library. Dell enjoyed working crossword
puzzles, sewing and crocheting.
Della is survived by her children, Pat Nelson of New Madison, Pam and
Mark Loxley of New Madison, and Roger and Janet Cassity of Arcanum; her
grandchildren, Bruce and Karen Nelson of North Carolina, Jenny Anderson
of Greenville, Jessi Loxley of Arcanum, David and Mallory Cassityof
Springfield and Megan and Brad Wombolt of Versailles; her great
grandchildren, Kristin Ward, Clay Loxley, Meredith Cassity and Ivis
Cassity; her great great grandchildren; Hailie Gilbert and Lily Moss;
her brother, Alden Collins of Wrigley, Kentucky; her sisters, Reva
Lewis of Springfield and Dorothy Howard of Sandy Hook, Kentucky;
several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, August
8, 2017 at Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison with Pastor Gary
Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenmound Cemetery.
Family and Friends may visit from 12:00PM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday,
August 8,2017 also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Madison American Legion
or to the New Madison Public Library.
