Tony Alan Walters
Tony Alan Walters, 50, of Greenville, passed away early Thursday
morning, December 14, 2017 at his residence.
He was born February 9, 1967, the son of Tony (Charlene) Walters of
Greenville, Carol Nelson of Eaton, Ohio.
Tony was preceded in death by his step mother, Judy Walters and his
step father, James Nelson.
Tony was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed fishing, golf and
basketball, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a junior high school
basketball coach for 16 years at Arcanum and Winchester Junior High
Schools, and was a golf coach for six years at Winchester Community
High School. Tony was a group leader at Whirlpool with 30 years of
service.
In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his wife of four years,
Stephanie (Rainey) Walters, whom he married June 29, 2013; his son,
Jordan Walters of Pensacola, Florida; his step-sons and their spouses,
Logan Riser of Fort Drum, New York, and Justin and Alana Riser of Union
City, Indiana; Grandson, Braydon Riser; his brother and his spouse, Tim
and Mindy Walters of Greenville; his sisters and their spouses, Terri
(Kevin Savely) Pollock of Hebron, Ohio, and Susan and Dan Denlinger of
Eaton, Ohio; Step brother, Bill Nelson of Sidney, Ohio; step-sisters
and their spouses, Lora and Brian Brandon of Arcanum, and Amy Barnes;
and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December
19, 2017 at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Dan
Denlinger officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.
Family and Friends may visit Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM
and then again from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.
