Wayne F. Nichols
Wayne F. Nichols age 62, of Versailles passed away at 8:35 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at his residence.
Wayne was born January 14, 1955, in Greenville to Franklin R. &
Lois K. (Ullom) Nichols of Palestine. In addition to his parents, Wayne
is also survived by his children, Daniel Nichols of Russia, Carrie
& Scott Drees of Versailles, Brian Nichols & TJ Stocker of
Arcanum and Ethan Nichols of Covington; grandchildren, Nathaniel Drees,
Raiden Drees, Zane Drees, Syncere Stocker, Ty Nichols, Jarrett Francis,
Kaitlyn Francis and Shane Mueller; girlfriend, Karan Hoschouer;
brothers & sisters, Deborah Rader of Palestine, Tom & Denise
Nichols of Greenville, Tim & Karen Nichols of Hollansburg, Gary
& Carol Nichols of New Madison, Wanda & Rick Roberts of
Greenville and Dawna Remencus of Palestine; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Wayne worked in maintenance for Darke County Parks. He was also a diesel mechanic for 35 years.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 7,
2017, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Michael
Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in
Palestine. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to
8:00 PM and Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral
expenses.
