Edgar Ray Voiles
Edgar Ray Voiles, age 95, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 2:30 PM on
Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Heartland of Greenville, Ohio. Edgar was
born December 16, 1921 in Morgan County, Tennessee and the son of the
late William and Artamus (Hull) Voiles.
Edgar retired in 1986 as the owner/operator of Voiles Motor Repair
Company where he had worked for 30 plus years. He was a Life
Member of the Greenville V.F.W., Disables American Veterans and member
of the United Commercial Travelers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife
Winifred Jean (Spence) Voiles. They were married March 25,
1945. Also son Ton Hull Voiles in 2013; brothers Aubrey, Floyd,
Wallace, Robert, Hobert, Leon Voiles and Roy Voiles; sisters Grace
Northup, Ann Markland and Charlene Canaday.
Edgar is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Jerry &
Susan Voiles of Arcanum, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Judy Voiles of
Greenville; grandchildren, Matthew, Mandy, Missy & Troy; and
great-grandchildren, Emily, Brody, Brecken, T.J., Phoebe, Payton and
Gavin as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no service. Arrangements are under the direction of
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
