Florence E. Bixler
Florence E. Bixler, age 98 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 3:45
PM Thursday January 26, 2017 at the State of the Heart Hospice
Care Center Greenville, Ohio. Florence was born October 7, 1918
in Richland Township Darke County Ohio and the daughter of the late
Andrew and Blanche (Brewer) Beisner.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of
Greenville, the AELCW of the Church and she and her late husband Max
were active members of the Treaty Squares, dating back to 1971.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
Max O. Bixler May 22, 2010. They were married July 18,
1942. Also her son and daughter in law Lee and Margaret Bixler;
an infant sister and 4 brothers.
Florence is survived by her daughter and son in law Linda & John
Warren of Florida; grandchildren Aaron (Cindi) Bixler, Tracey (Denis)
Hein, Ann-Marie (Matt) Tonsing, Andrew Warren and Benjamin Warren;
great grandchildren Chase Shepherd, Jenna Bixler, Jeremy Warren,
Zachary Warren, Mallory Tonsing, Max Bixler, Tess Tonsing, Gabriel Hein
and Ethan Hein; dear friend Marcia Denlinger as well as numerous nieces
and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday February 3, 2017 in
the St. John Lutheran Church 7814 State Route 121-N. Greenville, Ohio
with Pastor Brian McGee officiating. Burial will follow in the
St. John Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on
Thursday February 2, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Zechar
Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Friday 1/2 hour prior to
the services in the church.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
St. John Lutheran Church or State of the Heart Hospice of Darke County.
