Mabel E. Cable
Mabel E. Cable, age 96, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday,
July 6, 2017 at 7:15 PM at Brookdale Assisted Living, Greenville,
Ohio. She was born on January 24, 1921 in Yorkshire, Ohio, to the
late Frank & Regina (Zumbrink) Baumer.
Mabel is survived by her daughter and son in law, Ann & Dick Farmer
of Arcanum; grandsons, Darin Farmer, Greg (Tina) Farmer and Hollis
(Angie) Farmer; great grandchildren Brandon, Wesley, Hunter, Trenton,
Kianna, Evelyn May Farmer, Erica Ray, Jacob Hefner, Teresa Jannelli and
Dani Jannelli; sister and brother in law, Leona & Ivo Scott of
Montezuma, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her, husband,
Charles E. Cable; son, John E. Cable; sisters, Bernadiana Baumer,
Matilda Baumer, Adella Baumer, Edna Wagner and Rose Litmer; and
brothers, Joe and Robert Baumer.
Mabel retired from Fram in 1987 after over 30 years of service and also
work over 20 years for various companies demoing products. She
was a member of the Greenville Elks and Greenville Moose Lodge.
She loved crocheting, camping, fishing, traveling, playing cards and
dancing.
There will be a service held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10:30 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Terry Cavanaugh
officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke
County, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11,
2017 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank everyone at Brookdale of Greenville for
the loving care they provided to Mabel.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
the Brookdale Hospice, 2621 Dryden Rd., Moraine, Ohio 45439.
