Roger L. White
Roger L. White, age 76, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 7:15 PM on
Saturday, July 15, 2017, at his residence. Roger was born June 28,
1941, in Tazewell, Virginia to the late Charlie G. & Ella Rose
(Hall) White.
Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia A. “Patty” (Comer)
White whom he married July 31, 1961; children, Debbie & Scott Ray
of Greenville, Teresa & Tony Bunger of Greenville and Joe &
Beth White of Greenville; grandchildren, Chris & Kasey Bunger of
Greenville, Chad & Cassie Bunger of Greenville, Liz & Michael
Daniels of Phoenix, Arizona and Kyle Bunger of Piqua;
great-grandchildren, Jani-ce Bunger, Dakota Bunger, Autumn Bunger,
Alliah Bunger and Corbin Bunger; brother & sister-in-law, Charles
& Betty White of Matthews, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Roger was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Durham and
Virginia Losco.
Roger retired from Shraders Inc. in Greenville where he recapped tires.
Roger also worked at Hansbarger Appliance and SRS Engine Parts in
Greenville where he did deliveries. Roger was a former member of the
Greenville Moose Lodge and Darke County Fish & Game Club. He was an
avid hunter & fisherman. Roger was an accomplished tournament
catfisherman, catching a 26.14 lb. shovelhead catfish plus numerous
other sized catfish.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Sam Shilot
officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will
receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
