Rita J. (Smith) Huffman, age 77, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 3:36 PM at Reid Hospital, Richmond,
Indiana. She was born on May 20, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio, to the
late Alfred M. & Josephine (Reis) Smith.
Rita is survived by her husband of 62 years, Russell Huffman of
Greenville, Ohio, whom she married on October 30, 1954; daughters,
Diana Gallegos of Greenville and Sue Ellen Clark of Lebanon, Ohio;
grandchildren, Robert & Jennifer Weyant III, Nolan & Jenna
Bousman and Zachary Clark; and great granddaughter, Ayla Weyant.
Rita worked for the Greenville Advocate for many years before retiring
from K-mart.
There will be a service held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Todd Reish
officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Ft.
Jefferson, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 13,
2017 from 5:00-7:30 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
the Darke County Cancer Association.
