Anne Lloyd
Anne Lloyd, age 80 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 2:35 PM Tuesday
May 23, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Anne was born
April 14, 1937 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Oren and Donna (Corle)
Longfellow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her brother and sister-in-law James L. and Elaine (Smith) Longfellow.
Anne is survived by her husband Gary of Greenville, two sons: John
Lloyd of Greenville and David Lloyd and daughter-in-law Traci Lloyd and
granddaughters Marisa and Jillian Lloyd, all of Oviedo, Florida.
Anne graduated from Greenville High School in 1955 and received her RN
Degree from Miami Valley School of Nursing in 1958. She loved her
nursing career which was spent at Wayne Hospital in Greenville,
Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and Rest Haven Nursing Home of
Greenville.
Music and travel were a big part of her life. She enjoyed playing
the piano and organ, as well as singing in her church choir. Her
travels carried her to all 50 states, Majestic, Colorado was a
favorite, but home sweet home in Ohio was the Best.
Retirement was centered around volunteering. She was a CPR
Instructor for the Red Cross, a Greeter at the Garst Museum and a
helper for her beloved friends and patients at the Brethren Retirement
Community.
A Private Interment Service will be held for the family at the Oak
Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson, Ohio on Friday June 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday June 2,
2017 in the First United Methodist Church 202 West Fourth Street
Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
the Resident’s Aid Fund % of the Brethren Retirement Community 750
Chestnut Street Greenville, Ohio.
