B. Joan Coovert
B. Joan Coovert, age 89, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday,
October 21, 2017 at 12:35 AM at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville,
Ohio. She was born on January 13, 1928 in Darke County, Ohio, to
the late Sherman & Gertrude (Cashman) Baird.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Emily Duncan and her husband,
Matt of Mount Pleasant, Michigan and great granddaughter, Ryeley Duncan.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband,
Marion D. “Chuck” Coovert; daughter and son in law, Connie & Brian
Malcho; siblings, Thelma (Baird) Shives, Donald Baird, Richard Baird,
James Ray Baird and Vera (Baird) Coppess and niece, Terry Young.
Joan loved gardening, playing cards and traveling. Along with her
husband they loved spending the summers at their cabin in Cedarville,
MI. She loved spending time with family and friends and
especially her great granddaughter Ryeley.
There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at
11:00 AM at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Todd
Reish officiating. There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home,
Greenville, Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
State of the Heart Care.
