Elizabeth “Liz” Lake
Elizabeth “Liz” Lake, age 78 of Dayton, Ohio passed away at 6:51 PM
Wednesday August 22, 2018 at the Grandview Hospital Dayton, Ohio.
Liz was born March 15, 1940 in Wayne County, Kentucky and the daughter
of the late Roy and Betty (Reynolds) Mounce.
Liz was retired having work 20 plus years as a Nursing Assistant at
Grandview Hospital of Dayton. She was considered the “Ultimate
Care Giver” as she dearly loved her work at the hospital and in
addition was an avid animal lover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephews
Rick Crider and Tim Mounce; nieces Linda Newbauer and Debby Slogot and
great nephew Jonathan Kinnison.
Liz is survived by sisters Emma (Larry) Crider, Wanda Warner and Helen
Corder all of Greenville; brothers Fred (Helen) Mounce of Indianapolis,
Indiana and John (Charla Shoup) Mounce of Greenville; numerous nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her dogs Marley and Jazzy and
many special co-workers and friends from Grandview Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday August 27, 2018 in the
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from
12 Noon until time of the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
the Darke County Humane Society.
