Delbert W. Riegle
Delbert W. Riegle, age 94 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:40 PM
Sunday November 25, 2018 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center
in Greenville. Delbert was born October 9, 1924 in Darke County
Ohio and the son of the late Earl D. and Mertie L. (Williamson) Riegle.
He had retired in 1989 from the Dayton Power & Light Company where
he had been employed for 34 years as a Lineman. Also
he had farmed for 32 years in the Washington Township area.
Delbert was a Veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army and a member
of the Trinity Wesleyan Church of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Brothers
Lawrence “L.D.” Riegle and Glen Riegle and Sisters Mary Burke, Bernice
Gordon and Aileen Hughs.
Delbert is survived by his wife Lavona E. (Overholser) Riegle of
Greenville. They were married February 14, 1948. Also
children Daniel D. (Teresa) Riegle of Mattoon, Illinois, Susan E.
Riegle of Greenville and Lori J. (Christopher) Delk of St. Louis,
Missouri; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday December 1, 2018 in the
Trinity Wesleyan Church 1400 East Main Street Greenville, Ohio with
Pastors Rick Kavanaugh and Wes Lynch co-officiating. Burial
will follow in the Greenville Cemetery where Military Graveside
Services will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor
Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM
until 8:00 PM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on
Saturday 1 hour prior to the services in the church.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
the State of the Heart Care of Darke County, Ohio.
