Garry L. Weaver Sr.
Garry L. Weaver Sr. age 75, of Greenville passed away at 1:18 PM on
Sunday, September 9, 2018, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in
Greenville.
Garry was born February 19, 1943, in Union City, Indiana to the late
Robert & Doris (Riggs) Weaver. In addition to his parents, Garry
was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Richardson.
Garry is survived by his wife, Sue (Haworth) Weaver whom he married
June 14, 1964; son & daughter-in-law, Garry L. & Danielle
Weaver Jr. of Greenville; grandchildren, Kelsey Weaver of Key West,
Florida and Zach Weaver of Washington D.C.; brother, Daniel Weaver of
Boonville, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Ronald Richardson of
Greenville; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Mary Jo & Robert
Nixon of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Garry served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Coca-Cola with 30
years of service and was a truck driver for Bohman Trucking in Russia.
Garry was a member of the Coletown Congregational Christian Church and
the Greenville Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 13,
2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Terry
Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial
Garden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00
PM at the funeral home. Full military honors will be conducted by the
Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to
State of the Heart Care.
