Ann S. McFarland
Ann S. McFarland, 96, of New Madison, Ohio, passed away at the Brethren
Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
She was born on May 16, 1923 in Charlotte County, Virginia to the late
David and Virginia (Trent) Hancock.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by four brothers
and five sisters.
Ann loved working with her hands. She loved flowers and would always
have and maintain an amazing vegetable garden. She was a sensational
cook and made the best goulash on the planet. Ann was dedicated and
proud of her family and made sure to instill the values which she held
dear.
Ann is survived by her husband of 71 years, Arnold McFarland, whom she
married June 8, 1947; her sons, Larry (Marilyn) McFarland of Shelby,
North Carolina, Rodney McFarland of New Madison, Ohio, Dale (Ina)
McFarland of Conroe, Texas, and Bruce (Kathy) McFarland of Gainesville,
Florida; and one granddaughter, Megan McFarland.
Services for Ann will be held at a later date.
The family has entrusted Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison Campus,
with the arrangements.
