Christine "Chris" Landis

Christine “Chris” Landis, 69, of Union City, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by her family, after a long hard-fought battle, on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

She was born on October 9, 1949 in Union City, Indiana to the late Paul and Flo (Hiestand) Van De Pitte.

Chris had a fun loving and caring spirit. In her younger years, you could find her bowling or playing softball. She loved her family and looked forward to watching her grandkids participate in activities and events. Chris was a hard worker who spent a lot of her time caring for others; she cared for her parents, her in-laws, and her brother Mark for many many years.

Chris is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Landis, whom she married November 4, 1967; her children and their spouses, Chad and Michelle Landis of Vernon Hills, Illinois, and Nichole and Ismael Anguiano of Union City, Ohio; her grandchildren, Allison and Annemarie Landis, Cameron, Alex and Drew Anguiano; her siblings and their spouses, Mark Van De Pitte of Greenville, PaulEtte and Buck Hartzell of Union City, Indiana, Rick and Debra Van De Pitte of Union City, Ohio, Gail and Troy McAdams of Walton, Kentucky, and Jackie and David Englehart of Freemont, Ohio; and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
