Michael E. Pearson
Michael E. Pearson age 66, of Versailles passed away at 5:07 AM on
Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was
born on January 23, 1953, to the late Harry & Mildred (Gibbons)
Pearson. Michael is survived by his wife, Rosanna “Rosie” (Bergman)
Pearson whom he married on August 15, 1975; his son, Brian & friend
Crystal and her son's, Dylan and Noah of Versailles; son, Adam &
wife Kim and their family, Vera, Vince and Annie of Versailles; and
daughter, Mindy McCutchins & husband Sanchez and
their family, Bailey, Blaire and Brinley Rose of Sidney.
Mike is survived by his family, Nancy and Pete Hemer of Greenville,
Sandy and Mike McClurg of Versailles, Linda Renstchler of Lancing TN;
In-Laws, Melody Bergman of Celina, Pat and Arnie Clune of Minster,
Dennis Bergman of Coldwater, Tom and Charlene Bergman of Greenville,
Paul and Shirley Bergman of Reynoldsburg, Charles and Sue Bergman of
Englewood FL, Harold and Jean Bergman of Minster, Doris and
Michael Schultz of St. Henry, Louis and Mary Bergman of Greenville,
Karen and Don Luthman of Maderia; and numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, father & mother-in-law,
Albert & Lidwina Bergman; sisters Judy Baker and Carol Bundschuh,
nephew Kurt Bergman; and in-laws, Sandra Bergman, JoAnn Bergman, and
Doug Baker.
Mike graduated from Versailles High School in 1971. He served as a
mechanic and repair serviceman for most of his career. He and wife
Rosie owned and operated a truck and automotive repair shop which
attributed to many of Mike’s hobbies. Mike was involved in Drag Car
Racing, Go-Kart Racing and the restoration of older cars. He
always had a passion for old, fast and loud muscle cars. Mike served
many years as a little league baseball coach for his sons and served
many years as a Volunteer EMT for the Versailles Life Squad. In June of
this year, Mike retired from Dickman Supply as an Electrical Supply
delivery person. In recent years as free time permitted, Mike spent
much time in the boat on Lake Loramie getting snagged on brush, losing
jigs, untangling line, forgetting to pull anchor, all in search of that
wall mount bluegill. Children and Grandchildren’s events were also a
highlight of Michael’s schedule whether it was at the parks or at home,
he was always in attendance. Mike always enjoyed the presence of family
and grandchildren with his wife Rosie.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday,
November 23, 2019, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with
Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in
Versailles. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM
to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
