Richard E. Schultz
Richard E. Schultz, 74, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at his home,
early Friday morning, November 15, 2019.
Richard was born on May 8, 1945, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late
Earl and Lucy (Wirrig) Schultz.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his
brother, William Schultz.
Richard was born and raised in Darke county. After graduating from high
school, he enlisted and served in the United States Army. He was a
Standardbred horse owner for over 40 years. Richard was a member of the
United States Trotting Association, the Ohio Harness Horseman's
Association, and the Darke County Harness Horseman's Association. When
he wasn't working with his horses, he was riding his Harley Davidson
motorcycle.
Richard is survived by his sister, Jeannette Kendall and her husband,
Mike, of Vandalia, Ohio; his nephews, Andrew King and his wife, Pam, of
Centerville, Ohio, and Zachary King and his wife, Connie, of Troy,
Ohio; his great nieces, Sara and Addison King; his great nephews, Evan,
Ryan, and Adam King; and a special friend, Patty Springer of Eldorado,
Ohio.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Richard's family has entrusted Tribute Funeral Homes with his
arrangements.
