Open Meeting
Followup Comments
An item briefly mentioned at the July 15 OPEN MEETING of the Darke
County T.E.A. Patriots has been strongly brought to my attention. The
item was the understanding of my description of United Nations military
personnel at National Parks in the United States.
The
United States does retain sovereignty over the biospheres but does
grant control of each one to the United Nations. Forty-seven
biosphere reserves are recognized in the United States, with 23
involving 30 units of the national park system. The first biosphere
reserves were designated in 1976 as part of the United Nations
Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) –and- Man
and the Biosphere Program (MAB). Please understand that the United
Nations is acquiring more areas of control every year which happens to
be a goal identified in Agenda 21 documents. The item was included in
the meeting only because it appeared in the first section of the Wall
Street
Journal.
An additional item mentioned at the meeting was the effort by the
United States State Department to sign the United Nations Gun Control
Treaty. A normal treaty must be ratified by a two thirds vote in
the Senate. It is my understanding that if a treaty is signed by an
authorized entity of the executive branch of the government but is not
processed through the Senate, the treaty is considered in effect and a
lawful document until the Senate takes proper action. If the Senate
declines to take proper action such as failure to process a budget for
over three years, the United Nations Gun Control Treaty would go into
effect.
“The Law of the Sea Treaty, formally known as the Third United Nations
Convention on the Law of the Sea, or UNCLOS III, was adopted in 1982.
The Law of the Sea Treaty calls for technology transfers and wealth
transfers from developed to undeveloped nations.” These two quotes and
the complete text can be found at
http://unlawoftheseatreaty.org/. This is include because if the
United States signs this treaty after thirty years, another step in the
quest for Agenda 21 goals will have been achieved with a commensurate
loss of American freedoms.
It would appear that the three items mentioned above should be of
interest to every American citizen, but having read to this point, will
you question the next person that you see to determine if they are
aware any one of the subjects mentioned.
