Obama’s America
That’s My Opinion
By Bob Robinson
“Re: Election stolen. Give it up, Bob. And yes, Taxes are the way to
raise revenue. Have a great day.”
He’s right about one thing… the election is over. I should give it up.
That doesn’t mean, of course, that I will ignore the opinions of others
who wish to pontificate over what they think happened.
As I indicated in my Editor’s Notes on Monday, I do think it strange
that the Republican turnout was supposedly down 10 percent from 2008.
Don’t you? This was a hotly contested race. The Darke County Republican
Party alone made more than 50,000 “get out the vote” calls for this
election cycle. Do you really believe more Reps stayed home this year
than four years ago?
I try to swallow that but it keeps getting stuck in my throat.
I do think it strange that Romney would be gaining in the polls for
months plus actually take the lead, then have a strong lead in two
battleground states prior to the election only to lose both, plus the
general election, at the end of the day. Don’t you?
I would typically slough it off as an anomaly if it weren’t for the
accusation that Wood County in Ohio had 8,000 more registered voters
than were eligible to vote. I would chalk it up to “the will of the
people” if it hadn’t been reported that in 59 precincts in
Philadelphia, not a single vote had been cast for Romney. In St. Lucie
County, Fla., only one precinct had less than 113 percent turnout (over
registered voters)… the official vote count is 247,713. The problem is
that there are only 175,554 registered voters in the county.
Back in Ohio, 99 percent of the votes went to Obama in 100 Ohio
precincts. In Lawrence County, 104 percent of eligible voters are
reportedly registered. Another 31 Ohio counties report 90 percent
registration of eligible voters. The fact that registration of eligible
voters nationally is about 70 percent, kind of makes you wonder.
Doesn’t it?
But the Rep turnout was “down” 10 percent… sure makes sense to me.
Right wing lunatic conspiracy theories? Maybe. It happens… on both
sides. The obamamedia hasn’t reported any of this, of course, so it
can’t be true, can it? Besides, charges of chicanery (read: fraud)
haven’t changed an election yet that I know of.
The one thing that the obamamedia is reporting on is the unraveling of
the Administration’s handling of Benghazi and the terrorist attack on
an American Consulate. An American Diplomat and three other Americans
were killed.
Of course this coverage had to wait until the election was over. They
now have the “green light.”
It’s a “given” that the Administration received multiple requests for
additional protection, which were ignored. It’s a “given” that even
after the attack started, support could have been sent their way… and
wasn’t.
It’s a “given” that the Administration lied to us for two full weeks
about the details of the attack, calling it a mob reaction to a video.
It’s a “given” that the Administration knew about the Petraeus affair
late last summer, but we didn’t. It was kept under wraps until Nov. 6.
Once the election was over and shortly before he was to testify to
Congress about Benghazi, Petraeus resigned. And it’s been reported that
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has ‘declined’ to testify due to
‘travel’ plans. She will not serve during Obama’s second term.
They are the two individuals who have the most intricate knowledge of
this mess.
It concerns me that our Commander in Chief, who according to our
Constitution has the sole responsibility for the security of our
nation, seems to have so little concern for the security of our nation.
“Give it up, Bob.” I know I should, and I’ll try, but it will be hard.
There has been a lot of talk about Obama moving toward the middle as
Clinton did following his re-election. Second terms are typically tough
for presidents.
But this is no typical president.
Speaker of the House John Boehner held out an olive branch to the
President, acknowledging that the People have given the Administration
another four years. He said Obama’s health care plan is the law of the
land and that he is willing to consider additional revenue that doesn’t
impact jobs.
President Barack Obama said he’s willing to put all ideas on the table
and work with the Republicans, then he thumbed his nose at the Speaker…
“I just want to point out this was a central question during the
election,” he said in brief remarks in the East Room. “It was debated
over and over again. And on Tuesday night, we found out that the
majority of Americans agree with my approach.”
Basically, he said, “It’s my way or the highway.” Note of this has been
taken across America…
According to Investors.com, the National Manufacturers Association
forecasts 6 million layoffs and an 11 percent unemployment rate as a
result of Obama's pending tax hikes and regulatory siege.
Give it up? Sure, I’ll work on it… it’s a little soon, but I’ll try.
Eventually I’ll succeed. At that point I’ll simply observe (and
probably comment on) our march toward Obama’s America.
After all, the majority of Americans agree with his approach.
That’s My Opinion. What’s Yours?
