Get America back on track
Romney/Ryan
team in Celina… it’s about the jobs
by Kurt Fritsch
After having had the opportunity to attend a rally with Mitt Romney on
Oct. 10 in Sydney, Ohio, which was a great event that had drawn a huge
number of people, I was informed about a rally on Oct 28 with Paul Ryan
in Celina and thought that it might be a good idea to meet him as well.
So I signed up online and printed my ticket and was ready for the next
political event in this campaign, which hopefully leads to an
administration with real leaders who have a plan to get this country
back on track.
Shortly after I downloaded/printed my ticket I was informed that not
only Paul Ryan was expected in Celina but also Mitt Romney. Wow, the
whole ticket – I was excited. OK, no surprise for everyone who knows me
and where I stand and that I strongly oppose politics that appease
Islamism and Socialism, the two biggest threats we're facing in the
Western civilization.
The doors were supposed to open at 11:30 (the event was planned to
start at 1:30) so I thought being there at 10:30 should put me in a
very good position pretty much on top of the line (as it did in
Sydney). But Holy Moses! There was already a long line as I arrived at
10:30. And the line was getting longer and longer. What a crowd. There
was a big excitement. People know that we need to change course and are
willing to get involved.
Once in the building I was lucky enough to find a spot directly in the
front - app. 6 to 7 feet away from the stage. No one in front of me,
perfect position for taking some great photos.
The building was filling up with the excited crowd; we pledged
allegiance to the American flag, sang the National Anthem and then the
speeches began. A lot of “Big Names” were in Celina: our State Senator
Keith Faber, Supreme Court Justice Robert Cupp, hopefully soon-to-be
Senator Josh Mandel, Lt. Governor Mary Taylor, our hopefully soon-to-be
senior-Senator in Washington, Rob Portman and our (yes, I predict it)
next Vice President Paul Ryan and President Mitt Romney.
All speakers stressed that early voting is important (the Liberals
would expand it and say: vote early and often) and urged the crowd to
do so. To be honest: you should, because you never know what will
happen on Nov 6th.
The crowd, already excited, got fired up even more with every speaker.
Btw: Mary Taylor pointed to the fact that Gov. Kasich and she did a
great job in Ohio – and she's right. The facts are clear. Ohio is back
on track, the budget is balanced (without raising taxes), we have a
rainy-day-fund (the Libs would love to blow this money – as usual),
Ohio's credit rating was upgraded, to name only a couple of
accomplishments. Of course, Obama a.k.a. the Empty Chair wants to get
credit for that. OK, Mr. Obama, let me ask you a question: how does it
come that only Ohio and some other States with fiscally responsible
Republican leadership are doing well against the national trend? Do you
apply your “miracles” only to those States? No, Mr. Obama, these States
are not better off because of you, they are better off despite your
policies. And -fortunately- the majority gets it! How much better can
these States – and all other States- do, when we have the right people
in Washington, leaders who understand how economy works, what it needs
to create jobs (respectively to create an environment that encourages
business owners to create jobs, because government does NOT create
jobs)!?
OK, let's come to the speeches of Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney. Actually
-based on the fact that I'm very interested and involved in politics-
nothing new for me when it comes to the facts in regard to the current
situation, how the past 4 years this country has been led (if we can
call this leading) in the wrong direction, that we desperately need a
change, and the plans of Romney/Ryan. Congressman Ryan as well as Gov.
Romney listed the failed policies of Mr. Obama and -amongst others-
explained their 5-point-plan which will bring this great country back
on track.
Key point is the economy and creating new jobs. Think about it: for
every job that is created, the government has a) less expenses
(unemployment benefits, welfare, food-stamps, etc.) and b) more
revenue, not only because there is an additional taxpayer but also
because with this new taxpayer comes demand for products and services,
which creates even more jobs. And now imagine 12 million new jobs.
That's the ONLY way to a balanced budget and for reducing the debt.
It's absolutely inevitable that we have leadership in D.C. that
addresses this key issue in the right way!
Gov. Romney and Congressman Ryan also pointed to the fact that they can
reach across the aisle. Gov. Romney proved it in Massachusetts,
Congressman Ryan is well respected by responsible, moderate Democrats
(yes, there are still some of this species in Washington).
Btw: I haven't seen a teleprompter being used by Romney or Ryan. They
spoke without using notes, made their points, and even reacted to signs
the crowd showed or calls from people in the crowd without getting away
from the message or stumbling. They obviously knew what they're talking
about.
As said, the facts are well known, for me personally this event was
basically the thrill (maybe even some extra motivation, although I
don't think that I need it), the excitement of such an event, to see
that there are so many like-minded people out there who really want the
change and that a lot of them are ready to go the extra mile to make
this change happen, towards a better future for ourselves, our children
and our grandchildren.
Everyone who is still undecided (and even many Democrats, who are IMO
politically homeless after Obama and his far-left minions hijacked the
party) should check the facts and ask him/herself the question(s). Do
you really want four more years of high unemployment (expect it to get
even higher if Obama gets re-elected), climbing number of
food-stamp-recipients, poverty, high energy prices (gas, power), which
effects EVERYthing, Obamacare that just doesn't work (YES, we need a
health care reform, but not Obamacare), more government. And we haven't
even touched the situation in the Middle East, Benghazigate, etc.
Please, don't let this administration continue to “fundamentally
transform” this great country in a copy of Europe. I can promise you,
you won't like it! Let's work together to get this country back on
track. In this election it's not about “D” or “R” or “I” - it's about
America and the course she'll take: Freedom or Socialism (with a touch
of Islamism).
God Bless America!
