Biden’s Vaudeville Act
By The Darke Knight
I read E-Bobs comments Friday night following the Biden-Ryan debate.
Disgusted is being generous. I vascillated between being ashamed and
wanting to throw up. This clown IS the sitting Vice President of the
United States of America. On Thursday night he put on a sideshow in a
contest discussing crucial topics of national importance. He made
faces, ogled the camera, rolled his eyes, interrupted incessantly (to
show off his ignorance as if it wasn’t readily apparent), waved his
arms around like the class dunce and laughed at the most inappropriate
times over serious concerns to our country. For two-thirds of the
so-called debate he hogged the show then had the gall to cry about
equal time in the wrap-up. Several bloggers “counted” his
interruptions: 82 times in 90 minutes. Unbelievable.
E-Bob said Ryan should be applauded for his cool. Others said Ryan was
the perfect gentleman. Maybe the contrast was noted. Maybe not. I think
these guys are giving the masses more credit than they can handle.
Remember… despite the so-called movement in Romney’s direction this
race is still in a dead heat. That’s even more unbelievable.
Ryan did okay, but he dropped the ball when he had at least a half
dozen openings. I heard this comment on Fox News Sunday morning: He
should have stopped talking while Biden was laughing, giggling,
smirking, whatever. He should have quietly waited for the Vice
President to stop his histrionics, and then said: “These are serious
issues, Mr. Vice President. Would you mind telling us what’s so funny?”
Biden accused Ryan of lying. He used words like “malarky” and snide
comments like “shirtless” and “workout” in his references to his
challenger. Several polls said that Democrats overwhelmingly looked
upon this duffus as the winner of the debate! I know a lot of
Democrats, believe it or not, and most of them said they were
embarrassed. The ones who weren’t said it was payback for the shlacking
Romney gave Obama. Romney used facts to humble Obama. Biden used… well…
pick one of the above. Or all of them.
There are tons of reasons why voters should fear another four years
under Obama… and obviously Biden. Oh my God, I just thought of
something… where would we be if Obama were to ever be incapacitated.
Picture the class clown in the oval office. Scary, huh? At any rate, a
ton of reasons, but Ryan put a spotlight on two of them Thursday night.
Libya. This is huge. Biden said 1) the administration wasn’t aware of
any request for more security; 2) their best intelligence at the time
said it was a demonstration against a video; 3) more security wasn’t
provided because of budget cuts from a Republican House and 4) the ball
was dropped by State. Or was it the intelligence service? Their so busy
with the blame-game I cant keep up. Anyone see the inconsistencies
besides me? The whole world knew this was an organized, planned
terrorist attack. The whole world except, evidently, Obama and Biden.
And it seemed everyone in State and Intelligence knew of the request.
They must have decided not to pass this information on to their bosses.
Yeah, right! Budget cuts? Give me a break! State budget has grown
dramatically over the past 10 years. There were cuts on discretionary
spending but they still exceeded the previous budget. I also understand
that shortly after the additional security request was denied, everyone
there got a hazard pay raise because of the additional danger. We have
some real rocket scientists running the show in Washington, folks!
Taxes and Obamacare. This has been beaten to death over the past few
months. According to Heritage, the Obama “balanced approach” includes:
Massive increased “stimulus” spending, massive tax hikes on high-income
earners, a crippling tax increase on small business owners and a series
of hidden tax hikes on every taxpayer in the country for Obamacare. The
health plan alone will be responsible for $1.2 trillion in new taxes
over the next 10 years. They not only target “rich” people (making
$200k a year is rich?), they will hit the middle class and seniors…
those who can least afford it. Add that to the loss of jobs because
businesses simply can’t afford to hire people once this plan goes into
effect, and you have the Obama-Biden solution for a health care Utopia!
The issues that had to be addressed Thursday night were monumental.
Ryan tried to address them in a dignified, serious manner… and ask
serious questions, such as why Catholic priests were suing the
government over Obamacare. Biden responded with a Vaudeville act. The
American people deserved better than that.
Have a nice day,
The Darke Knight
