From the Other Side of the
Edge…..
Would
You Trust a Neighbor, Who Behaved Like This…?
By Joe Facinoli
Ok, …so you’ve had this
neighbor, for about 35 years.
And during this time, you’ve
witnessed a parade of “other women”, entering her house, to be
with her husband, …and not just to play backgammon.
But,
you have also observed, that being the “dutiful” wife which she
is, she’s not only looked the other way, but has told all in the
neighborhood who’ve asked, that she was still madly in love with
him, no matter, and blamed those “others” (perhaps dozens, over
the many years) for tricking her hubby into all these dalliances.
So, you scratch your head, at such nonsensical behavior, …and
ask yourself:
Would you trust her to watch your house,
while you were on vacation?
Would you trust her to watch over
your kids, after school?
Would you trust her to do your taxes,
…or to make your bank deposits?
Should you not question her
personal values, and wonder how she could make, and then live with,
such counterintuitive life choices ?
And (…now here’s the
BIG one), would you vote for her?? For even the lowest level of
political offices???
No,…I didn’t think so.
But that doesn’t stop her
from continuing to sing the praises of her “soulmate”, and to
stand by him, and to call those wayward girls, who keep showing up at
any given moment, whenever she happens to be out of the house, all
manner of vicious and nasty names.
She’s working on
that trust thing, with you, …but going in the wrong direction, you
easily notice.
Now, as it turns out, your
steadfast and much too devoted neighbor has had more than a few,
fairly important jobs during the time she has been a resident of your
local “Village”.
But it seems like she’s always had
a more than a few problems and issues with these significant
positions she’s held along the way.
Typically, these
troubles have involved her employees, and usually, some major
controversy has ensued, …more often than not involving questionable
record keeping, or certain critical documents disappearing at the
most inopportune of times, or the random worker quickly pulling up
stakes, and the like.
And a couple of times, some very
unfortunate folks in her employ have even died, as a result of some
action, or inaction, which she has taken, …or not.
Of
course, she denies having any problems whatsoever, other than the
“normal”, day to day operational type of annoyances and such,
that often arise in the kinds of weighty, critical jobs which she’s
performed.
She’s told the neighborhood, time and time
again, not to pay any attention to all of that, and besides, …as
she always asks you and your other neighbors, …“what difference
does it make, anyway?” , as long as they can’t prove anything,
…and her job is still safe.
Again, ….is this the type
of person you would ask to head up your neighborhood board of
directors? Or to be the leader of the community watch
patrol??
Would you vote for anything involving her? ….Other
than voting unanimously for her, and her
“drop-his-drawers-at-the-first-sniff-of-another-woman” hubby, to
leave your neighborhood, ….and as quickly as possible???
Nope,
…didn’t think you would. Common sense eventually kicks in,
after enough of a pattern establishes itself.
And still,
she trudges on, full blast, secure in the knowledge that many more
than most of her neighbors believe her, somehow, …and not those
mean and distasteful people who come ‘round your neighborhood,
spreading those terrible lies about her, and asking her to resign, or
to move on from, yet another job.
She can look you, and all
your neighbors, directly in the eye and not only ask you to trust
her, despite so much evidence to the contrary, but quickly tell you,
in a quite convincing fashion, exactly why you should (despite all).
And she will chastise, and slam unmercifully, all who might
disbelieve her perverted, twisted, self-serving version of the truth,
which is so easily seen and proven.
Unless you’ve been under
a large rock in the Arkansas River for the last three decades (where
you may have had some other “involuntary” company), or have taken
too much to heart the new “possession” laws in Colorado (where
you no doubt had a lot of company), you know that the lovely
“neighbor” about whom I’ve been speaking, is none other than
our country’s former beloved First Lady, former (nope, wasn’t my
fault) Secretary of State, and former carpetbagging Senator from the
Great State of New York (that’s close to Arkansas, right?):
Hillary Rodham (“Hills” baby) Clinton.
And, I
should add: former Rose Law Firm (Little Rock office) partner,
while she was the beloved former First Lady of Arkansas (no conflict
of interest there); former not-so-good investor in the Whitewater
Retirement and Vacation Home project; former oh-so-savvy $1,000
investor in an Arkansas cattle ranch, which netted her a very tidy
$100K profit (on just that little ol’ $1K) in only nine months; and
former consulting attorney to the House’s Nixon Impeachment
Committee (which she promptly got fired from).
This is a
woman, who, at every step along her life’s trail, has either
created, been a party to, or amplified, an amazing number of major
legal, ethical, Constitutional, and even criminal issues.
These
involve lies, deceit, abusing public and personal trust, and blatant
cover-ups.
The consequences of which, range from the loss,
misuse, or theft of huge sums of money, the destruction of any trust
in our government, not to mention the crushing of people, and their
careers, who got in her path, …all the way to dereliction of duty,
…and murder.
This is a woman who should
be prosecuted, …not nominated.
A woman whom NO ONE
should trust, ever, who is without conscience, sensibility, nor
sensitivity, and whose only thoughts and focus are for her own
future, to the absolute exception of all others, …and any things.
This is a person who is the antithesis of what even a good
“neighbor” should be, much less a good leader, …and to the
contrary, brings nothing, if not a ton of ill-will and bad times, to
all she touches.
This is someone who should never be
entrusted with the keys to a two-hole outhouse, much less those of
the Oval Office in the White House.
Please, recognize her for
what she is, ….and cast her out.
The first woman elected
to be our President should not be anyone like her.
There are
so many other good choices, who would be so much better. And
electing her could set women back, by decades.
But don’t
take that small tidbit as any sort of reassurance or solace.
We
just made the same mistake, with the same kind of person, when we
elected our first Black President.
Stay classy, U.S.A. (or get
classy). We’re supposed to be smarter than this.
