The
power of the purse

I
have included as direct quotes two sections of the constitution that
clearly demonstrate the intent of our founding fathers. This was done
so that an answer to the following questions just might be
forthcoming from someone.
Legislative
Branch
The
legislative branch enacts legislation, confirms or rejects
presidential appointments, and has the authority to declare war.
This
branch includes Congress (the Senate and House of Representatives)
and several agencies that provide support services to Congress.
American citizens have the right to vote for senators and
representatives through free, confidential ballots.
Senate
- There are two elected senators per state, totaling 100 senators. A
senate term is six years and there's no limit to the number of terms
an individual can serve.
House
of Representatives - There are 435 elected representatives, which are
divided among the 50 states in proportion to their total population.
There are additional non-voting delegates who represent the District
of Columbia and the territories. A representative serves a two-year
term, and there's no limit to the number of terms an individual can
serve.

“All
Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of
Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with amendments
as on other Bills.”
— U.S.
Constitution, Article I, section 7, clause 1
“No
Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of
Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of
the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published
from time to time.”House Committee on Ways and Means
— U.S.
Constitution, Article I, section 9, clause 7
“Does
the President have an absolute blank check to spent what ever he
considers “OK” for him, his family, or just about anything??? Or,
can/should the House of Representatives recall that they have the
Power of the Purse and take action to establish some control on
expenditures???
One
other observation is also in form of a question, “If you or I
commit fraud/visibly commit a crime, are we held responsible?? If the
answer is YES--, why then in the more the eighteen cases of fraud on
record in the Executive Branch doesn't the House of Representatives
[forget the incompetence and lies in the Senate] take real ACTION
instead of just talking about it for maybe five minutes in a
committee meeting.
It is
my hope that Conservative Republicans have reached the point of
frustration and disappointment that some ACTION or than rhetoric will
take place soon BUT should our President find or create a CRISIS and
declare martial law, it just might be too late.
Now
is the time to stand and be counted.
GOD
BLESS
