Darke County Senior Scribe
Another look at
politics… Mother Goose Abuse
By Lois Wilson
Once again Senior Scribe Poet Laureate Lois Wilson is on top of the
season with her insightful look at the important events of the day.
For the second time this season it’s politics. Wilson offers a series
of poems, each addressing a different look at our coming trip to the
polls, then touching on another possibility two years down the road.
Wilson's completed set - five volumes - of published poetry is now
available and is offered as a fundraiser for the Senior Scribes
Scholarship Fund. Enjoy great poetry and help a local youngster attend
college. For additional information, contact

ENRICHMENT,
PLEASE!
LERNER’S WEB
Barry,
Barry,
“I miss it; I muff it.
Quite
contrary,
Now I must tough it—
How does your recovery
grow?
Deleting my words away.”
With closed coal
mines
Along came her hider,
And stalled
pipelines,
A D.C. insider
So little’s made, all’s in a
slow?
Who frightened his puppet to play.
CORNERED
GOING NUCLEAR
Political hack
Holder
Kerry had a missile plan.
Sat on a
boulder
The piece meant might could slow.
Eating his mishmash
pie.
And everywhere that Kerry went,
He put in his
thumb
The plan was sure to go.
And pulled out the scum,
And pled “What a good guy am
I!”
He took it to the East one day.
It was against their rule.
And to his offer, they said, “Nay!
THE
FALL
You must think us a fool!”
Barack with
will
Some other countries shunned the plan;
Went up to
Hillary
Still Kerry kept it near.
To sketch a tale—the
crafter.
And hostiles did defy each ban.
“If we blame the
video,
Their missile tests caused fear.
Then my polls won’t skid below.”
But their swill came tumbling
after.
Why do leaders love the plan so?
The people wondered why.
Because it is their plan, you know.
They’ll push it do or die.
