The Supreme
Court and Same Sex Marriage
By George Starks
As I write this, there are many things weighing on my side at the
present time.
Most notably, my health concerns. While doctors are taking up the
majority of my free time and more so I've got some of the best
neurologists in this area baffled. None of them, can't seem to figure
out what is going on with my brain and the effect it’s having on my
motor skills.
My mobility has gotten worse in the past year because there are two
areas on my brain that have started to move once again. Because of this
activity and the physicians involved, my time covering sports has been
brought to a halt for the time being.
I plan to cover the sporting events at the fair as well as some fall
sports. I'm not sure at what level I will do this but only time will
tell.
This however it’s another subject for another day. Now, for the real
reason of the column.
As we all know, our Supreme Court has determined that same sex marriage
is now the law of the land. They have decided that God's definition of
marriage between a man and a woman is no longer acceptable.
Therefore, they have decided to redefine marriage.
Once again, God is no longer a factor in how this country makes
decisions but yet congress will start every session of the day with a
prayer.
For those of you that really don't know what the Bible says, what the
Supreme Court has done is the very same reason God destroyed Sodom and
Gomorrah. Is this what our country has come to?
I hope Congress overturns this decision by the Supreme Court. It would
only justify what is right in the Eyes of God and possibly set this
country back on a course that is right and just.
Please don't misunderstand me; I am not ashamed of my country. I am
however ashamed of my government. This decision is an abomination of
God and His law.
It is written in the Book of Leviticus that a man laying down next to a
man as he would a woman is an abomination of God.
Yes, this is the Old Testament law but it still applies today.
