Attorney General Mike DeWine
A message from
the Ohio Attorney General
Good Afternoon,
Early voting is in full swing here in Ohio. It is critically
important to get out and vote on November 3rd. In addition to
1,700 local issues and races, there are three state issues that voters
are being asked to consider in this election that will have a dramatic
and lasting impact on Ohio's Constitution if passed.
Issue 3 would legalize recreational marijuana and enshrine a marijuana
monopoly in the Ohio Constitution. A few weeks ago, I traveled to
Colorado to learn more about the effects of recreational marijuana on a
state that already has passed it. I spoke with law enforcement,
doctors, educators, business owners, and parents. The message I
received was the same wherever I went: Don't legalize recreational
marijuana in Ohio. I encourage you to vote NO on Issue 3.
The Ohio Republican Party supports Issue 1 and Issue 2, and also
opposes Issue 3.
As an Ohio voter, you have the ability to vote by mail or vote
in-person before Election Day on Tuesday. You can visit
MyOhioVote.com to learn more about early voting hours.
If you'd prefer to vote on Election Day, your local polling location
will be open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 3rd.
Please vote in this election to ensure that your voice is heard.
Very respectfully yours,
Mike DeWine
Ohio Attorney General
