The Robinson Chronicles
Starting off
the new year at CNO
By Bob Robinson
First off… have you checked out Community Events Photo Gallery and CNO
Sports Photos lately? If you haven’t you’ve been missing out on new
postings almost daily for the past two weeks. Check them out at the
links below!
In December CNO added two new Facebook pages. You can get nightly
updates at BobRobinsonCNO, and now you can get almost daily teases and
updates at County News Online Community if it has to do with Darke
County community events and people, and Empowering Darke County Youth
if it supports our youth through community opportunities or their
accomplishments.
Facebook friends not only get teases to current stories on County News
Online, they get occasional “In case you missed it” notices on
important recent stories, plus stories not yet posted on County News
Online.
If you aren’t on Facebook, it might be worth your while to sign up so
you can follow CNO events and specials both before and after they
appear on our website.
I had a great run at The Early Bird for the past three years and am
delighted to say I played a role in building a service that provides
the most complete coverage of the county available today. I will
continue to tease occasional stories from Bluebag Media that I believe
are important to our community and youth.
Remember “In My Opinion”? I wrote it for seven years as Managing Editor
of The Daily Advocate. And more recently at the Early Bird, “Grumpy
Side of 60”? It’s time to take the next step… The Robinson Chronicles.
Each week you’ll get a little bit of everything: values, community and
of course, our kids!
Our youth have always been a hoot (at any age, from five to 55), and
will continue to entertain (and frustrate) as they find their own
unique approaches to daily challenges. Watch for the first edition this
weekend.
Last month CNO had over 300,000 page views from nearly 30,000 unique
visitors, the most ever in its five-year history. We have something to
offer and our purpose is to help Darke County Youth. When you see CNO
sponsors, please thank them for their support. It is because of them
you get our service and our young people get the benefit.
