State Representative Jim Buchy
Summer in
District 84
I have always been proud to call the 84th House District my home,
especially this time of year when the weather is heating up and our
local fairs and festivals get underway. There is nowhere else in Ohio
quite like it, and when our festivals and fairs are in full swing no
one can compare. This year is no different with 13 festivals and
parades planned throughout the summer months.
We have had great turn out so far at the Jackson Center Community Days
festival, Botkins Carousel and the 64th Annual Poultry Days festival. I
take great pride in these festivities and I was proud to get out and
see these traditions continue to unite our community.
Upcoming events this June include the Rockford Community Days Parade
and the Anna Homecoming Parade on June 20th, both of which provide a
tremendous opportunity to celebrate Ohio’s small town heritage. Also in
June is the Fort Recovery 225th Anniversary celebration. This festival
is always a favorite of mine, serving as a reminder of the village’s
rich history that continues to endure 225 years later.
Events in July include the Ansonia 4th of July Parade, Cridersville
Fireman’s Jamboree and the Celina Lake Festival at the end of the
month, which always provides free, fun-filled entertainment for all
ages. Additionally, the August festivals finishing up the summer are
the Union City Heritage Days, the Coldwater Community Picnic and the
Bremenfest in New Breman.
There is so much to look forward to this summer, so be sure to get out
and experience everything western Ohio has to offer and to celebrate
our local communities that are second to none. I look forward to
attending all of the events I can this summer and speaking with my
constituents about our great state of Ohio.
This summer, I hope you find time to relax and enjoy all of the
festivals and parades that are occurring. I plan on spending time with
my family and constituents, getting to know how we can make our home an
even better place. Whether you’re participating in barbeques, pool days
or heading out of town for a vacation, I wish a safe and happy summer.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns on issues surrounding
Ohio do not hesitate to contact my office at 614-466-6344.
