Letters to
Santa Claus
Mrs. Ruhenkamp's First Grade Class
Woodland Heights
From Bob Robinson
“We worked really hard on the letters. They look great.”
They did. Mrs. Ruhenkamp incorporated the assignment into the writing
exercises that she regularly uses as part of her first grade grammar
curriculum. First they did a draft, then they put it on a nice sheet
with Santa art on it and pasted it onto a red background. Some are
already on display in the hallway outside the room.
Some of the letters below were indecipherable by yours truly… after
all, I’m only Santa’s Helper (No 31278664). Not a doubt in my mind that
Santa will know exactly what has been requested from each of these little boys and girls.
The wonder and delight of the children would melt any heart… and they
would love to hear from Santa when he gets their letters. I plan to ask
him as a special favor to the kids.
He’s busy. We all know that. But this little request from all these kids would be hard to resist… at least in my humble opinion.
Think he’ll drop them a line? I do.
Here’s the Christmas Wish List to Santa from Mrs. Ruhenkamp’s first
graders at Woodland Heights Elementary, Greenville, Ohio. Remember, one
of their teacher’s requirements was to tell Santa why he should
consider their toy(s) request…
