Holiday Light
Display at its Best Ever
See Santa & Mrs. Claus
Union City Harter Park
Several visitors proclaim that this year’s holiday light display is the
best ever. It is believed that Santa took an extra break from his
busy schedule at the North Pole to drive through the festive Union City
Harter Park this past Sunday evening. Allowing his reindeer to
rest for the BIG night, he made the trip in a car, one of 83 vehicles
that cruised through the lighted wonderland. One visitor traveled
from Ludlow Falls to see the Union City display, which has a few of the
lights that were once hung along the Ludlow Creek by the Ludlow Falls
Fire Department.
The volunteer sentinels for the entrance and exit gates were ladies
from the Union City Psi Chapter of Tri Kappa. There is no cost to
see the three-million lights; however, donations are accepted at the
gate. Different non-profit organizations volunteer to watch the
gates.
Harter Park is illuminated from 6-9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 6-10
PM Friday and Saturday. Santa and Mrs. Claus are in the gift
shop, which is open 6-8 PM every Friday and Saturday through December
15.
