A
Time For...

Hi,
all! I've been reading, from various sources, about the insurance
problems. And, it's curious to me - we are all saying the same thing.
There are people who have said that they had a "near death
experience." They survived and are going to spend this "new
lease on life" doing worthwhile things - in some cases this has
to do with advocating for the upholding of our constitutional rights
- again the right to buy or not buy insurance. Much blood was shed to
give us that freedom.
People
have been told (in Darke County) that as of January 1, 2014 - they
would only be working 28 hours a week - full time hours - so to
speak. They are really cutting full time down to all part time. This
way, as part time status - the company does not have to pay their
insurance premiums. I read somewhere that there is a time for
everything - "...a time to scatter stones and a time to gather
them...a time to keep and a time to throw away...a time to tear and a
time to mend...a time to be silent and a time to speak...a time to
love and a time to hate..."
Today
- December 7th, is the anniversary of Pearl Harbor...December 7,
1941. It was after that attack - the next day the way I understand it
- that the US entered WWII...per F.D. Roosevelt - US President. And
that got us somewhere we did not want to be, in the end. Now - here
is the curious thing to me - history says the US (Pearl Harbor) was
bombed - to keep us out of the war - or more exactly - to keep us out
of what Japan wanted to destroy in SE Asia - territories of the
United Kingdom, Netherlands, and the US. Instead of keeping us out -
we got off our laurels and got involved...evidently all the ships and
such that were destroyed at Pearl Harbor was not enough to deter us
from letting Japan know we would not take this. And, I'm sure many
were afraid and many did not want to "get involved."
But -
I ask myself - is this whole "Obamacare" and the blatant
side-stepping of our Constitution - which is in force as I write this
- and gives me my blood bought right as a US citizen (naturally
born) to have a voice in print - Is this what you might call a
"Personal Pearl Harbor?" Pearl Harbor was ill-prepared, at
best, to fend off an attack. And, I wonder - Is now the time to throw
away? Or maybe it's the time to stop being silent?
"....Can
you hear me? Can you hear me calling you? ...Teach the children
quietly, for someday sons and daughters will rise up and fight where
we stood still. Don't believe the state and everything they tell
you..." - Excerpt from "Silent Running (On Dangerous
Ground) Mike+The Mechanics 1985.
And
to those of you who lost loved ones - family or friends - during WWII
- I am sorry. And to the Vets of WWII who are still with us - Thank
you for your service.
Remember
the kiddies and our service people. Take good care of the furry and
feathered ones out there. Be safe and healthy. See ya next time. Ever
