Introducing
Billy
CARLOS

Now
I
know what to spend my allowance on
- a
new baseball glove. I’m tired of using Henry’s old beat up glove. It’s
about
time to start T-ball again and this year I’m going to hit a home run. I
know my
arms are stronger than last year.
Mom
said that I could invite Carlos to stay over night with me next Friday.
She
asked me what Carlos would like for supper. I said “How about sloppy
Joes,” but
I think he will eat almost anything. He told me one time his favorite
food was
aroz con pollo, which is rice and chicken, but Mom never made that for
us.
I
mentioned to Dad that I might want to be a Vet like Dr. Keller. He said
that
would be fine but you have to learn a lot to be a Vet. So I’m going to
work
hard in Kindergarten and learn to read really well. I know how to read
a few
words now like “dog” and “cat.” I just love to look at a book with
pictures of
different kinds of dogs. There sure are a lot of them. Some of my
favorites are
the little Dachshunds and the big Great Danes. Wouldn’t it be fun to
raise lots
of puppies. I don’t think Nelly is going to have any.
Adios.
