Where
Does Time Go?
By Mona Lease
Hi,
all! So - I finally found a point I
agree on with Bill Clinton. It really does get easier saying "I'm
sorry" - the more you say it. So, for you readers who get a
chuckle
or bit of wisdom from my writings - I am sorry I did not submit a
column last
week. The week flew by me.
Have
you ever noticed how time is relative? The
seconds, minutes, and hours remain the same ...a constant in our busy
world -
tick, tick, tick. Seemingly though, when the situation is negative, or
sad -
painfilled, etc. - time drags endlessly. Let the situation be positive
- happy
and joyfilled - and time's gone in the proverbial "instant."
My
son (my only child) came up from
Florida Tuesday of the missing week. He was up here
four years ago
for a funeral. We crammed four years of "catching up" - hopes,
dreams, goals, accomplishments - into four days. Still there
was not
enough time. He brought his fiancé with him. We camped out at my Dad's,
spending lazy mornings on the front porch sipping coffee and discussing
individual activities for the day. I mentally counted the remaining
days to
"The Friday" - when they were leaving. They drove a van back
to
Florida. They're home safe & sound and back to work. I'll leave
you to mull
over the following poem.
Time
Is - Time is too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short
for
those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. - Henry
Van Dyke
Remember
the kiddies and our service people.
Take good care of the furry and feathered ones out there. Be safe and
healthy.
See ya next time. Ever Toodles!! MONA
