Co-Incidents

Hi, all!! I was waiting until after the election to voice my views.
Mostly, I wanted to see the prevailing thought processes. I claim no
political party and am not swayed by money or the promises of it. I
vote for whomever is requesting and requiring the truth. In this case
it is John Boehner. He requests the truth as to why four American
soldiers were left in the Syrian desert to die when they had requested
aid - namely Benghazi. He requested the truth as to why the American
public was told they could keep their health insurance if they were
satisfied with it and were then told they had to buy substandard
insurance. He requests the truth as to why the American public was told
they could keep their Dr if they were happy there and were then told
they had to go to a new Dr hither and yon.
Lately three people have contacted me.They do not know each other. They
all have the same story. One guy told me he wishes he would have not
"partyed it up" so much. He wishes he would have followed a few rules.
You see - "truth" caught up with him. He has no wife - no kiddies -
never did. Now he is too old to party. And he has no one with whom to
share his knowledge and wisdom...no Father&Son moments and memories.
Another story - a woman - "partyed"...loved the "nose candy." She gave
away her first child - a son - when he was five months old - to his
Grandmother. He is now 16 and wants to know why he was not worth the
effort. Her 12 year old daughter wants to know why she grew up at
another Grandmother's house. The two younger ones want to know why they
were kept at all. These are four kiddies - four different Daddys. The
Mother wants to have a kiddie now - she is 38...not married..just a
boyfriend. She wants to "get it right" and not miss out on all she has
previously.
And the third caller - same story...two kiddies...two different Daddys.
This bothers her - and rightly so!! She's being more cautious -
considering her age, etc. I applauded her wisdom and forethought - to
her. These problems are not limited to Darke county - by the way.
Now for some math. Had these people who contacted me stuck to the truth
and some morals - they would be free of the emotions and inner turmoil
they have shared with me. And the kiddies would have been spared much
that they should never have had to try to understand. They told
me they knew they were doing wrongly - making wrong decisions. They did
not care. They were young. Few people said anything to them. (See what
happens when no one says "this is unacceptable?")
Since the above kiddies were raised the way they were - will they raise
their kiddies the same way? How many times will the above be multiplied
before one of them down the line says - "I will not do this to my
child."
And to John Boehner _ "son of a bartender" that you are: I extend my
"tomato pickin' hand" to you. Ain't it funny how honest work and a few
morals can turn the ugliest situation from bad to good?
Sorry this was a short column - then again - the truth usually is short.
Remember the kiddies and our service people. Take good care of the
furry and feathered ones out there. Be safe and healthy. See ya next
