'Tis The
Season!
By Mona Lease
Hi, all!! As I write this, I rub my forehead and I don't know whether
to laugh or cry. On my answering machine was a message from the
Government - the Government!! A guy who said his name was David (in
broken English), warned me I needed to call a number he left in the
message. I should do this as this was the "second warning" - "do not
ignore this" I was told. Seriously? I never got the first warning!! I
knew before the Deputy at the Sheriff's Office answered the phone what
I would hear. He said not to give the caller any personal information.
The Government does not make phone calls like that. I called to ask if
there had been any other phone calls like that. Yes, there had - seven
of them that very morning. "David" had been busy. Some people actually
believe this stuff - through fear of what "Big Brother" can or will do.
Since we are entering the "holiday season" - Black Friday and all the
way to New Year's Day - I thought I'd give you this to consider:
