Wake-up
Call/Warning??
By Mona Lease
Hi, all!! I was speaking with a young girl the other day. It seems that
yet another guy got what he wanted from her and is now "busy" - too
"busy" to come to see her. She has been on this course for a number of
years. She has kiddies. I insert my question here: "Did the guy think
she was searching for "Daddy material" and leave?" He has his own
kiddies and yep, you guessed it - divorced. Now she thinks she ought to
start thinking of herself. (I add she ought to think about the kiddies.)
In the Greenville Advocate - Thursday May 5, 2016: Ohio Governor
John Kasich ended his campaign for the US Presidency on May 4, 2016.
"He did not outline his reasons for ending his bid or mention Trump.
Instead he offered an emotional recount of his exchanges with voters
on, and renewed his call for, Americans to spend more time helping one
another. He acknowledged that it was a message that never seemed to
resonate. The spirit, the essence of America lies in the hearts and
souls of us" he said. "Some missed this message. It wasn't sexy, it
wasn't a soundbite",,,I wonder if this is what it takes to get voters
to vote?
John Boehner resigned from Congress/Speaker of the House after 13
terms...effective December 31. 2015. He cited "prolonged leadership
turmoil"...he does not want his members or the government (what he
calls the institution) to live and work with the turmoil. John Boehner
has said he lives by: "Do the right thing for the right reason and it
will all turn out right." He has also stated that: "A leader with no
followers is just another man taking a walk."
It's estimated that in any election, voter turnout is about half -
46.5% - 54.3%...that's illegals under a phony social security number,
and all other races. Digest this a minute.
We have two Ohioans who have resigned...and cited the same reason!
Notice Mr. Boehner cited "his members" first (those he elected) before
citing the institution as being those he does to want to see receive
the "fallout" from "prolonged leadership turmoil." He has said he has a
"thick skin." I insert this question: "Is he really saying he is tired
of all of the bickering/backbiting/slandering and no one really caring
about the American Public?"
It's interesting to me that states are just now voicing that they are
voting under their individual state laws to approach our US Government.
They hope to limit the terms of the Institution to a term of 4 years
like the President - or less...not a lifetime like some of the "seats."
So - from Mr. Boehner and Governor Kasich we have: turmoil and lack of
caring (absence of people helping people), respectively. Question: "Do
the people who comprise our Federal Government count on us not caring
what they do?" I've said for years that they count on us yelling and
yammering at the wrongness of it all - and yet continuing to smoke
cigarettes at $4-6 a pack, pay $2-3 for a Big Slam Pepsi 10-12 times a
week and the many other sin tax//hike items we purchase. (I quit the
Marlboros when they were $2.85 a pack.). I feel the Government - itself
- has taken a big enough bite out of my Constitutional rights.
Preamble to the US Constitution
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect
union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the
Common Defense, promote the General Welfare, and secure the blessings
of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this
constitution for the United States of America."
My final question is: "Are we, as a people, handing over our above
rights because we've backed ourselves into a "corner" with credit card
payments...high internet, phone, and tv bundle payments?" I remember as
a child, I was explaining that "they all were doing it" as my reason
for the undesirable behavior. I was asked: "If they all jumped off a
bridge or ran in front of a semi...would I do that?"
Remember the kiddies and our service people. Take good care of the
furry and feathered ones out there. Be safe and healthy. See ya next
time. Ever Toodles!! MONA
