Paranoia
By Mona Lease
Hi, all!! I had another reader-request for the following. I thought I'd
submit it for you readers to think on and if nothing else - a good
laugh.
Regarding our Presidential Election: If Hillary becomes president and
there will be no more guns, I ask: "Really?? Think back to Prohibition
and no more alcohol. People who had the money still bought alcohol.
Whoever got the desired product to the one with the money first - got
the money for the delivered goods. It's reported that the Holly Farms
car race was started with them "running shine." During a war the black
market will sell you anything for which you can or will pay. This is
especially true when the war is during or after a depression."
"And aside from the government getting a list from the NRA (if the NRA
would give up the list) of their members and getting a list from the
states of guns to whom they've registered them - are they (government
officials, Gmen, Tmen, etc?) going to go door-to-door to search your
house for unreported/unregistered guns? Are they going to use metal
detectors across your property to find guns/ammunition you've buried??
Are they going to tear up the USA looking for guns? If they tore up
your house looking for guns, where would you live - who would pay to
rebuild it - your insurance? If they put you in jail for using a gun -
how long would they keep you there? Couldn't you get out of jail and
buy another gun from the black market or someone who bought a bunch of
guns for just this reason?? Hillary can say she wants no guns - that
that's the answer to our gun problem. She does not have sole power.
Which brings me to this:
"Obama and Hillary were both running on the Democratic ticket or party.
Halfway through - she quits. Why?? Obama wins. It is because if Hillary
were president first, Obama would have gotten no GASP?? We never had a
woman or black person seek an office that high. Now the USA wonders
what to say and what to think about the NAACP? What would they do...how
far would they go?? Obama himself spoke of the NAACP and hinted at it
on several occasions. I heard him for myself. The USA went GASP!!! I do
not see a gasp with Hillary. She is only a woman and white. We've
stared Obama, his train-wreck of required health insurance, and the
NAACP in the face for almost 8 years now. What group would back Hillary
the way the NAACP would have backed Obama? Where would the notoriety be
there? The GASP is gone. We've been desensitized. Someone said if
Hillary gets in office, her hubby Bill will really be running the show.
I don't buy that either. I think she told Bill to apologize and squeeze
out a tear or two after the famed "white stain on the blue dress"
caper. He publicly apologized and I can not tell you how many women I
know personally put Bill up on a pedestal..."what a man..a real man. My
husband/boyfriend would never apologize publicly." Hillary apologized
for her notoriously questionable emails. I expected it - it worked in
the past for her family. The public bought Bill's apologies and
Hillary's, too."
I am concerned about Trump. He said build a wall between Mexico and the
USA...stretch it all the way from Texas to California. Then he
apologized to the Mexicans. Why? Is it because legal or not - Mexicans
can vote with a photo id that has an address on it?? How does Trump
know more about ISIS than our generals? Does he have ties to them?? I
watched Trump make fun of a handicapped reporter that was at one his of
rallies. I thought Trump wanted us all working? And his comments about
grabbing p and small-chested women being worthless to him - how is this
going to "make America great again??" I heard Trump say he could stand
in Time Square, commit a crime and not lose popularity. Really? Like a
pinball - Trump is all over the place. How could you possibly predict
with 10% accuracy what he will say - or do? I think this is all a
real-life soap opera we look forward to at the end of the day or
week.
Either way - Hillary or Trump - the GASP is gone. And I don't believe
either of them have an "NAACP-type bulldog" to back them...all the
way...all the time.
As with last week's column: Don't make decisions - any decisions
based on your emotions or what you think they mean. That's what we did
with Obama and his entourage of girls dressed straight out of the 60's
and all the "peace and love will keep us together" memories - remember?
Pay attention to words...not their looks - and the fact that they still
have to go through channels. Study how a bill is written, where it goes
to get through the houses, how it gets to the President's desk, how
many times the President can veto it, etc. Again - this is my take.
Remember the kiddies and our service people. Take good care of the
furry and feathered ones out there. Be safe and healthy. See ya next
time. Ever Toodles!! MONA
