As We Think, So
We Are

Hi, all!! Either I've always had my head somewhere else - studying,
freezing produce, etc - or, this has been a bad year. For the sake of
argument - I'm going to say it's been a bad year.
Spring started out ok and summer came - I think. It got too cold at
night and the tomatoes did not grow rightly. Oh - they turned
red...looked like a tomato...tasted like a tomato. But the insides of
most tomatoes were hard - not a lot of the "goop" that supports the
seeds so you can dry them and grow tomatoes the following year. And I
think that describes how the people I've been speaking with feel. We
look ok on the outside. The inside is another story. I submit the
following to you. Maybe we can get our inside "softened" before the
holidays.
At the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought, but what
we built; not what we got, but what we shared; not our competence, but
our character; and not our success but our significance. Live a life
