Reflections
A Hobbit's House
By Mona Lease
"You might think you don't matter in this world, but because of you
someone has a favorite mug to drink their tea out of each morning that
you bought them. Someone hears a song on the radio and it reminds them
of you. Someone has read a book that you recommended to them and gotten
lost in it's pages. Someone remembered a joke that you told them and
smiled to themselves on the bus. Someone's tried on a top and felt
beautiful because you complimented them on it. Someone has a memory
that makes them grin and has you involved in it. Someone now likes
themselves a little bit more because you made a passing comment that
made them feel good. Never think that you don't have an impact, your
fingerprints can't be wiped away from the little marks of kindness that
you've left behind." - Peace, Love and Everything Else
"When I'm old and my work here is done, I'm going to move into a tiny
hobbit house. I will spend my days reading good books, playing in wild
waters, writing, and growing weeds while drinking black coffee, doing
magic and eating bacon and dark chocolate until I die." - Peace, Love
and Everything Else
"Let me make a short, opening, blanket statement. There are no good
guns. There are no bad guns. Any gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad
thing. Any gun in the hands of a decent person is no threat to anybody
- except bad people." - Charlton Heston
There are two types of pain in this world. Pain that hurts you and pain
that changes you. - Untraveled Journey
My goal in life is for me and my best friend to become the old ladies

"There are two types of people you'll meet in your life. One will run a
finger down the index of who you are and jump straight to the parts of
you that peak their interest. The other will take his or her time
reading through every one of your chapters and may fold corners of you
that inspired them most. You will meet these two people; it is a given.
It is a third that you'll never see coming. That one person who not
only finishes your sentences, but keeps the book." - Peace, Love and

It so doesn't matter who likes us...WE like us. - Zen to Zany
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into
you making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the
coffee? You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea. The point is
whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out of the cup.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which will happen),
whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it until you
get rattled. So, we have to ask ourselves, "What's in my cup?" When
life gets tough, what spills out? Joy, gratefulness, peace, and
humility? Or does anger, bitterness, harsh words, and reactions come
out? You choose. Today let's work towards filing our cups with
gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, gentleness, and love
for others. - Emilie Hobbs
