Mind, Body, Soul
And Again, Zen!
By Mona Lease
Greetings, gals!! I never realized how much I factored these columns
into my daily life. I pick up "tidbits' here and there to store them
away for sharing with you readers later. Then countynewsonline had an
internet glitch:(( I actually had the opportunity to practice a
few of these adages - namely: "In calmness and tranquility, make good
use of this wondrous day. Tomorrow will shine!
Did it look like I'd see this "shine" during the downtime? At times -
absolutely not. But, we're back up and running...and it's not 100
degrees - SHINE!!
What is most important is to be grateful for what you have been given
and repay in kind - to benefit others is to benefit ourselves.
Know yourself, know others; know when to advance, when to retreat; at
all times maintain peace and equanimity in body and mind; know your
blessings, use them wisely, strive to increase them; every where you go
develop a deep virtuous affinity with others.
To pick it up, able to let it go - year after year good fortune will
surely follow; sow a field of blessings with wisdom! Every day all days
are good days!!
Always keep your body and mind always relaxed and meet everyone with a
smile; relaxation makes your mind and body healthy, and a smile gathers
friends and friendship.
In daily living it is better to think: "Fine if I have it, no matter if
I can't"...thus transforming suffering into joy and living a life of
serenity.
When you wish for something - ask yourself these 4 questions: Is it
needed? Is it wanted? Is it obtainable? It is advisable?
The 4 keys to good fortune: Know what you are blessed with, Cherish it,
Help it grow, Plant seeds for future blessings.
If possible and permissible, seek after it; if possible and forbidden,
keep away from it.
Rejoice when you encounter good praise, encourage it to spread, but
take care to learn with an open mind.
Be solid and forthright; have a great open heart; be sure and steady in
accomplishment, with vision penetrating and far-reaching...ENJOYING
WORK.
Busy but not in disarray; tired but not worn out.
Be happy being busy! Even when you're tired, be joyful.
Finish your work quickly, but in an orderly manner; don't become
nervous trying to compete with time itself.
The 3 acts of success: Accord with causes and conditions, Act
de-cisively when they arise, Shape the future.
Seize opportunity when it arises, create it when it doesn't; but when
the time is not ripe, don't take unnecessary action.
When you are off balance, always right yourself with wisdom, everywhere
you go, use compassion to make life easy for others.
There is no need to dwell in the past, no necessity to worry about the
future; the enduring present holds both past and future.
Right now you gather what you have planted; what you harvest
tomorrow you plant at this moment.
When you change your way of thinking, what is around you will transform
accordingly; nowhere in the world will you find absolute good or bad.
Know clearly that an unsettled mind is trouble. Right then and there
recite, "Homage to Guan Yin Bodhisattva" (pleas to a Chinese spiritual
figure who hears all the world).
A rich man is content with what he has, a poor man accumulates and is
never satisfied.
Don't control emotions by suppressing them; calm them with
contemplation and meditation.
The value of life is not duration but in contribution.
Pressure usually comes from too much concern with what we encounter as
well as how people judge us.
The more you know your weaknesses, the faster you will grow your
self-confidence unwavering. - Forbes sponsored
"Sometimes all you need is for someone to just be there, even if they
can't solve your problems. Just knowing there is someone who cares can
make all the difference." - sun.gazing.com
The best is yet to be!! MONA
