A Home and Body Thing
By Mona Lease

Hi, all!! With everything that's happening in our world - I thought I'd give you readers a few positives. Enjoy!!

15 Signs Your House is Vulnerable to Being Robbed
Your front door
Nearly half of burglars enter through the front door. It's easy access. One of four homeowners confesses to frequently leaving the front door unlocked. The majority of burglaries happen between 10 am and 3 pm.

Your garbage cans
Setting out the box from your new 60" HDTV or high-end gaming console on the curb is advertising the fact that these items are in your home. Electronics are the number two thing burglars go for (cash is number one).Buy a cheap box cutter and cut up the box. Bundle it so the writing is on the inside.

Your street
Homes in high-visibility areas, like a corner lot, are less likely to be burgled. Houses in the middle of a block or a cul-de-sac are better targets.

Your health
Drugs, particularly prescription painkillers, are quickly becoming one of the most stolen items according to the most current FBI data. Professional thieves and junkies know the elderly or chronically ill have the good stuff laying around the house.

Your windows
First level entry windows are the second-most common entry point...after the front door.

Your social status
Make friends with those who live around you or at least a passing friendliness. Nosy neighbors are your best ally against home burglaries.

Your vacation pics
40% of people admit posting vacation pictures on social media while they are on vacation. This makes your home a target.

Your neighborhood's crime history
Certain neighborhoods are more vulnerable to certain types of crimes. A neighborhood with a lot of sheds and detached garages are a signal to thieves that there are probably tools in these.

Your neighborhood's age
Criminals tend to target newer neighborhoods and developments hoping people are not familiar with the area.

Your alarm
Your home alarm system will not work if you do not use it. Forget the sign in the yard. Burglars are betting that you are bluffing or you do not have the alarm system activated. They'll try the front door and first-floor windows.

Your landscaping
Shrubbery around a window can hide you from the outside view. It also will hide burglars from anyone's view.

Your lock
Time is important to a burglar. They figure one minute to get past your lock. They will not fiddle with a deadbolt or a two-lock system. The average thief can be in and back out of a home within 10 minutes. Install an extra lock on all exterior doors.

Outside lighting
The darkness is a burglar's best friend. To save money, use a motion-activated lighting system.

Your mailbox
An over-flowing mailbox is another signal to a burglar that no one is home and has not been home for a while. It takes 3 minutes to call the post office to have your mail stopped for the time you are gone.

Your pet
Half of the burglars say if they see a dog or hear a dog, they will not try to rob your house. Cat bumper stickers on your car will signal a burglar to try to enter your house. They are betting you will not have a dog and a cat. - Reader's Digest/Charlotte Hilton Anderson

I drank nothing but water for a month - and it made my skin look and feel like porcelain.
I gave up all other beverages in favor of water for 28 days, and it had some major, positive effects on my body and skin.

I drank nothing but water for 28 days straight, but I did not change my food diet.

I did not start with many blemishes, but water cleared up whatever was on my face.

I peed more than I ever peed before.

Drinking water is really important as it helps our bodies function properly and can prevent headaches and dehydration.

But many people are not drinking enough water and other drinks.

I decided to drink nothing but water for an entire month. I have never been a tea, coffee, or soda drinker; so this month might not have been as hard for me as people who are addicted to caffeine.

Throughout the month I drank extreme amounts of water, even though that was not included in the challenge. I also did not eat any healthier, and stuck to my normal snacking carbs.

Week 1: Is there such a thing as drinking too much water? I refused any tea or coffee and I did not put any lemon in my water. At work I filled up my 33 ounce water bottle four times a day. All the plastic water bottles I used at home made me realize the need for a water filter, instead of harming the environment with more plastic.

Week 2: I don't think I have ever peed this much in my entire life. Too much water and your sodium level will drop to a dangerous low.

Week 3: My face started to look and feel like porcelain. I recognized a few changes to my stomach. When I woke up every morning during the second week, my stomach would look flatter.

Week 4: I don't think I personally feel the need to drink anything besides water any more. - Insider/Ashley Lillibridge
