Mind, Body, Soul
At Your Own Pace
By Mona Lease
Greetings, Gals!! I'm submitting the following for you to
consider...see how it might fit into your life. Keep the mind and the
body healthy. The rest will fall into place.
No person has the right to condemn you on how you repair your heart or
how long you choose to grieve, because no one knows how much you're
hurting. Recovery takes time, and everyone heals at his or her own
pace. - Halos and Horns Fun Page
People who commit suicide don't want to end their life, they want to
end the pain, bullying, hating, anger, and feeling unloved and
unwanted. - Halos and Horns Fun Page
Forgiveness is a reflection of loving yourself enough to move on. -
Steve Maraboli
A person can become so determined to destroy another person that they
become blind and end up destroying themselves. - Halos and Horns Fun

"She's different now," he said. I was too much of a jerk to see how
beautiful she really was. Her heart was beautiful, she cared so much
about me and I never understood why. I never treated her the way she
deserved to be treated. "Why?" I asked. Because her love scared me. Her
love was so intense. With her I could have been happy. I almost forgot
how beautiful her smile was. I forgot because she hadn't smiled lately.
She just cried. It was a shame. She wasted so many tears for someone
like me." - Halos and Horns Fun Page
The world is gonna judge you no matter what you do, so live your life
the way you want to. - Think Smarter
The circles of women around us weave invisible nets of love that carry
us when we're weak and sing with us when we're strong. - Transcendental
Meditation for Women
On the darkest days, when I feel inadequate, unloved, and unworthy; I
remember whose daughter I am and I straighten my crown. - Peace, Love,
and Everything Else
The secret to permanently breaking any bad habit is to love something
greater than the habit. - Bryant McGill
11 Things Women Couldn't Do in the 1920's
1)Have their own name on a passport: The married woman's passport was
issued in her husband's name ("wife of"). Single women used their
maiden name.
2)Wear whatever they wanted: Everything but the hands and face were
covered.
3)Have certain kinds of jobs: Michigan "loose laws" banned "dangerous"
work. Ohio prohibited jobs where men could "negatively influence" a
woman's behavior - like a taxi-driver, pool-hall worker, or bowling
alley worker.
4)Keep citizenship if wed to a non-citizen: You automatically lost your
US citizenship this way.
5)Use your law degree to the fullest: Many law firms refused to hire a
woman to practice law in court. She had to be a part of her husband's
or Father's firm to practice.
6)Work the night shift: The "Protect Women" ban said women could not
work from 10 pm - 6 am.
7)Take a quick bathroom break: The number of public restrooms was
small. And there were few restrooms for women where they worked.
8)Hold a job while pregnant: Legal protection did not occur until 1978.
Pregnancy was "detrimental" to job productivity.
9)Enlist or receive benefits for military work: In WW1 military work
was volunteer or a civilian contract....with no benefits.
10)Hate housework: It was "women's work"...and there were few electric
appliances. Women who hated housework were suffering "personal
maladjustment."
11)Serve on a jury: Women got to vote 8/18/1920.
I'm gonna SMILE like nothing's wrong, PRETEND like everything's all
right, ACT like it's all perfect; even though inside it really hurts. -

"Sometimes all you need is for someone to just be there, even if they
can't solve your problems. Just knowing there is someone who cares can
make all the difference." - sun.gazing.com
"Sometimes me think what is love, and then me think love is what last
cookie is for. Me give up the last cookie for you." - Cookie Monster
