Lady
Tiger Bowlers Suffer 1st Lost to
Coldwater
The
Versailles Girls Varsity Bowling
Team traveled to Astro Lanes in Wapakoneta on Saturday, December 10 to
bowl
against last year’s WOHSBC defending champions, the Coldwater
Cavaliers. The
Lady Tigers lost their first game, but they were only down by 44 pins.
Megan
Monnin bowled an outstanding game leaving only one open frame. Her 10
strikes,
1 spare, and the 1 open frame gave her a final pin count of 254!
Unfortunately
the change in lane conditions, splits, and problems picking up spares
made the
second game a struggle for the Lady Tigers. Megan Monnin bowled a 201
which
gave her the new school record for High 2 Game Series of 255, but after
2 games
the Lady Tigers were down by 176 pins.
Versailles
won the first three baker
games and was down by 106 pins, but Coldwater came back very strong in
the
fourth baker bowling a 249 to Versailles’ 170. The fifth baker ended in
a tie.
The Lady Tigers ended the match with a total pin count of 2475 to
Coldwaters’
2660. The Lady Tigers are now 3-1 on the season.
The
girls travel to Pla-Mor Lanes in
Coldwater to take on the Lady Cardinals of New Bremen on Saturday,
December 17.
