fill the calender this

A look ahead

DARKE COUNTY – Several games between county teams, home meets, matches
and invitationals are on the docket this week in Darke County high
school sports.
Tuesday the Greenville bowling team hosts its first home match of the
season as Wayne and Springboro will invade Treaty Lanes at 5 p.m. Also
Tuesday, the Ansonia boys basketball team will play host to Russia at 6
p.m., and the Greenville wrestling team will travel to Coldwater to
face Coldwater, Brookville and Tipp City at 6 p.m.
Wednesday the Arcanum swimming team will head to Eaton to compete at 6
p.m. Thursday will see six girls basketball teams in action. Arcanum
will host Twin Valley South at 5:30 p.m. while Bradford will be hosting
Tri-County North at 5:30. The Lady Jets will host National Trail,
Mississinawa Valley and Miami East will tangle while Tri-Village will
travel to Bethel for a CCC game with the Bees. Versailles will head to
St. Henry for a MAC showdown with the Redskins. Also, the Greenville
bowling team will go to Springfield to for a match with Springfield and
Xenia at 4.
Seven boys basketball teams will play Friday night.
In county head to head games will see Tri-Village battleing the Trojans
in Arcanum and Mississinawa Valley playing at Franklin Monroe in the
Jest Homecoming game. Also, Bradford will play host to Newton,
Versailles will head to St. Henry, and Ansonia will travel to Twin
Valley South with all the basketball games starting at 6:30.
There also will be a in-county match up between the Mississinawa Valley
and Tri-Village bowling teams at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Arcanum Lanes. The
Arcanum swimming team also will also swim in the Shawnee Invitational
at 6:30 Friday.
Saturday, a full day starts with with Greenville hosting its reserve
wrestling tournament at 9:30 a.m. Versailles will host its varsity
wresting invitational beginning at 10. Also at 10, the Franklin Monroe
girls basketball team will play at Tri-County North, and the West Ohio
High School Bowling Conference girls teams compete in Coldwater.
Greenville’s girls basketball team travels to West Carrollton for an
11:30 contest. At noon, Ansonia will play host to Bethel, Mississinawa
Valley travels to National Trail and Tri-Village heads to Covington for
girls basketball CCC games. Bradford’s girls basketball team travels to
Twin Valley South for a 1 p.m. conferance game with the Panthers
and the WOHSBC boys teams compete at 1 p.m. in Coldwater. At 4:30 p.m.
the Greenville swim team will host Eaton, Marion Local and Piqua at the
Darke County YMCA. At 6 p.m., Arcanum hosts Milton-Union, Bradford goes
to Fairlawn and Greenville travels to Tri-Village for boys basketball
game at ‘The Battlefield’.
